Since the beginning of time, man has fasted to cleanse the body and increase mental & spiritual clarity. A raw, whole foods diet is a healthy way to bring vitality to the body. I tend to cleanse-detox twice a year. But for me, going on a raw foods break means more than sipping on smoothies for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
